Easter Tree
Megan, the friend I attended the Martha Stewart taping with, has been putting the glitter she received to good use. Knowing my time is crunched this month, she made my family an Easter Tree — so that I wouldn't need to pull out the glitter myself in the middle of all the towers of boxes we're living with. I can't imagine a more thoughtful gift.
There are 7 eggs. Each one blown out, dyed, then glittered with a family member's initial. The tree was waiting on the table when the kids got home from school last week and they pretty much went crazy over it. The personalized eggs. Oh. And the Snickers. Thank you, Megan!

this is so beautiful, my four year old son, Oliver's loves to glitter so we are off to Michael's to pick up some more Martha Stewart glitter to make his grandparents a homemade Easter gift,thanks for sharing

That is a wonderful gift...I wish I had a friend like that! We mostly do eater foods and treats and not so many crafts, although after seeing that tree I'm thinking we should...
My time is crunched this Easter as well. We are on the opposite end of Gabrielle. We just moved into our house, and most things aren't unpacked yet. Plus this is only our 2nd easter together (my husband and I) so we don't have much to begin with. My mom hardboiled my eggs for me, and then I let them sit in a tea and instant coffee mixture for a few hours. I really like them. The instant coffee made them a little specled and very natural. Perfect for the decor in our house.

That tree is lovely and it's nice that it can be used and added to for years to come.

We'll be making cascarones this year, a wonderful Mexican tradition I've learned from my husband's family. Basically they are hallowed eggs, decorated then filled with confetti. You run around on Easter morning cracking them over people's heads so the confetti rains down. It is great fun!

What a nice friend you have! That is so sweet of her to brighten up your Easter festivities. I love that Martha Stewart glitter and wanted to use it for eggs, but unfortunately had to go out of town for an emergency the day before Easter, so we didn't get to decorate any.
