Welcome November
We spent Saturday hiking in the Catskill Mountains — a most proper way to greet November — and something we don't do often enough. It was beautiful. And could only have been improved by being even closer to our home. You can see lots of photos of our hike (Hi Mom!) on flickr.
I'm really looking forward to this new week in this new month. Plus I'm super psyched(!) to vote tomorrow. (Possibly even more psyched that this relentless election will be over.)
Also, I want to give a ginormous thank you to Mrs. Dub for the excellent job she did Guest Mom-ming last week. Each post was beautiful, but I think everyone who read it, was especially touched by her beautiful post on infant loss. Thank you, Mrs. Dub, for sharing with us.

I am so glad to see your daughter hiking in a dress! I thought I was the only one with a kid who did that. Whew.
Beautiful leaf bouquet! Happy November to you and all of your little hikers!
Gabby - your family is beautiful.
Oh, I am so jealous and homesick... I grew up on the east side of the Hudson with the Catskill Mtns. in view every day. I'm in Vancouver, WA, where the fall is beautiful, but nothing like the Catskills! Thanks for this post. :)
Just watched the flickr pictures and finished with a contented sigh. Loved getting a good dose of the beautiful Blairs. Love and kisses to all.
