This is a great way to recycle those old books. Instead of buying goody bags for my daughter's birthday I might try making these :) Thanks for sharing!!
Wow great idea! I think I'm gonna go rescue my school catalog from the recycling bin. Paper isn't too interesting, but I got a lot of it, and with a pretty ribbon it will look cute!
What a great idea... you could do this with so many different things. Our local used book store usually just tosses really interesting old books in the freebie bin out front, guess I will be taking a much harder look from now on.
I have this book! I'm too chicken to cut it up, but photocopies or printed scans would work just as well I guess.
Super cute! Where ever did that vintage barber shop come from? My father is a "vintage" barber. I would love to create him something from that design, unless you sell it :)
Brilliant! I love this idea!!
Hey Lesley - it's from a story called "Daddies" by Janet Frank, and my copy comes from a book called Tibor Gergely's Great Big Book of Bedtime Stories. Tibor Gergely is a great illustrator who worked on loads of Little Golden Books!
That's a great idea for anthropolgie catalogs and the like that use nice paper. I hate to just toss them.
