Olive's Turn
Dip-dye dress by Kandy Kiss. Leggings by Old Navy. Shoes by Salt Water Sandals. Floral headband by Gymboree.
Of course (of course!) Olive wanted (and rightly deserved) a chance to model her back to school clothes. Olive is 7. She is starting to phase out of her pink addiction and on to more sophisticated shades — even some occasional brown.
I'm sure you are tiring of wardrobe posts, so I promise this will be the last for awhile. As with Ralph and Maude, many of these items were already in Olive's closet. I'll list sources where available. More pics of Olive's photoshoot here.
Plaid shirt and roll-up cargo pants by Target. Turquoise tee by Old Navy. Sneakers by Adidas. Western cut floral top by Ralph Lauren. Corduroy mini by Old Navy. Cable-knit tights by H&M. Brown Maryjane's by Payless.
Stripe top by Old Navy. Floral top by Osh Kosh. Capris by Gymboree. Blue layering tee by Mini Boden. Sweater vest by GapKids. Brown velour-ish trousers by H&M. Slip-on sneakers by Airwalk for Payless.
Tie-back dress by Mossimo for Target. Skinny jeans by H&M. Embroidered top by Lulu and Scooter. Embroidered skirt by Children's Place.
Plaid top by Gymboree. Red cardigan by Target. Jeans by GapKids.
Floral top by Peek Aren't You Curious. Screened tee by Old Navy. Purple cropped cargo pants by Peek.

That is the cutest little Back to School wardrobe! I'll take one of everything in grown up sizes ;)
I'm not a mother (but i am a teacher) and i'm SO not tired of these clothing posts. The kids look great
So cute! I think I had leggings like that when I was 7. Or maybe 8 or 9. I should have held onto them!
Fabulous shoesies.
I'm not even close to tired of these back-to-school photoshoots! I love them, and what stylish cool kids!
Your kids are such great little models!
Just adorable! I wish I could take pictures like these of my kids. You've inspired me to try.
I'm always a lurker here, never a commenter, and I'm writing now to implore you not to stop the wardrobe posts!
Fantastic! She looks so cool and comfortable! Very age appropriate!
yes, love those shoes and olive looks so grown up!
Love, love, love. Nice ensembles! Also, the floral headband- I need one!
oh please don't let this be the last photo shoot. I was hoping you'd do one about your toddler son (since I have a toddler son) and also one with you!
I love the wardrobe posts!
Another beautiful child with beautiful clothes. My favs: brown pants and green plaid shirt w skirt. Such a cutie.
So cute!
And I love the back to school posts!
I love these photoshoots! My daughter has the exact same first outfit!
You have some very stylish kids! And I love all their names too!
I'm so happy to see that she has Saltwaters! I grew up in them, and my kids are, too. (Actually, I still wear them, as they go up to women's size 11.) I've never seen them outside of California before, but "all" the little girls and boys wear them here. They wear like iron. Love them!
So cute! The plaid dress is my favorite. I love the blue ombre.
Great model you have there! And, I love her haircut! :)
What beautiful, stylish children. Their fun wardrobes are a wonderful reflection of your great taste. How fun to see them develop their own sense of style (that actually works and looks fun, hip, and age-appropriate!).
i LOVE that you mix cheap and brand name clothes. being able to mix and match with style and price makes your kids' wardrobes great!
So cute! My daughter is 6 so I'm inspired to steal a couple of these looks for her. And because I have a elementary school age daughter, I'm not tired of these wardrobe posts.
Seriously, if you did kids' wardrobe photo shoots every day, I'd somehow magically come back even MORE often!
Lovely. And those shoes!!
Love how you mix inexpensive and more name brand items together. It all lookes great!
I love these posts! I love when you share pieces of your family.
Olive, you are ADORABLE!!!
I love your style. Your bro and sis looked awesome too, but yours was my favorite! Shh, don't tell :)
I love those trainers and my daughter who is also 7 would love them too, but I live in Scotland and cannot find them in the UK.
olive = too stylin'
Thanks very much to you and Olive for being willing to share these fun ideas! I have a 7-year-old daughter also and this will be our first school year not wearing uniforms every day! yea! I'm so excited to show her these pics and see what she comes up with. Best wishes to all your kiddos for a great school year.
Olive, you and your clothes could not be any cuter! I love your style!!!!
Thank for sharing!
Happy Birthday, Olive. You're a doll! Love, Grandma M.
not at all tired of the wardrobe posts!! I say keep 'em coming! Maybe you could redo my wardrobe next?? :)
I want a free giveaway on those red sneaks!
I love seeing what other girls my daughter's age are wearing (and not what the stores say they should wear). Thanks!
The headbands ... did you make them?
I love your posts of the kids' clothing...they are so sweet and they allow each one of your kids to have a moment in the spotlight, plus, it gives such awesome ideas for putting together kids' outfits. Thanks for putting them together.
also wondering on the headbands. LOVE them. and i agree, wardrobe posts are so fun!
I love the back to school modeling posts! They are very inspirational.
My favorite is the little puff sleeve plaid top, very chic!
Have a great year, Olive!
Absolutely adorable. Sad to say that at seven she already has better fashion sense than I do! Love, love, love the shoes!
How much fun is your little girl having playing supermodel! Isn't that just a dream! I'm so glad to see that not everyone dresses their children in some of these trashy styles I see in the stores these days. Makes me glad to know I have a son- but it also makes me afraid for his years down the road!
So cute. We had to wear uniforms here in London. Planning back to school outfits must be so fun!
Adorable! She looks like a natural in front of the camera too!! :)

I can only hope that when I have kids, they dress as hip and cute and cool as your kids do!
