Muji Wall Mount CD Player
So a year or so ago. Maybe two. We ditched our cd player (read: moved it to the basement workroom) and replaced it with an mp3 dock. Which is streamlined and wonderful.
But sometimes we miss the cd player.
I noticed this beautiful wall-mount version on Swiss Miss. It's by Muji. Seeing it gave me courage it admit that I'm not prepared to be cd free yet.

I love this idea...as I would love to use my CDs again...and its good-looking!
I actually have one of these. A friend brought it back for me from Taiwan. Its a wonderful design to have hanging on our wall, but that's all it does since the sound is somewhere far south of stellar. It reminds me of those big old push button tape recorders, tinny and scratchy.
we just came back from a vacation at a design hotel (b&b) on the Danish island of Bornholm (the www.hotel-du-nord.dk), and they had these in the (shared) bathrooms. Their music selection was stellar, and my 2 year old used to muscle his way into the room when anyone went in just so that he could pull the cord and boogie...
loads of fun!
