Platte River
Ben Blair is off work today and we're headed on a family bike ride. From here to the Platte River. My kids have bikes, but Ben Blair and I don't. So we're borrowing from our lovely friends, Becky and Rob. Sunscreen: check. Water: check. We'll come back here for fresh-squeezed lemonade when the bike ride is finished.
Hooray for a day off!

Our family loves biking the Platte from Chatfield Lake to 285 then back. That ride as well as the trip up Waterton Canyon next to the Platte are two of our favorites.
FYI there is a great 4th of July parade in Highlands Ranch tomorrow at 9:00am. Followed by an all day fair at the town center with a spectacular firework show at 9:30.

What lemonade recipe did you use? I've made one from BHG magazine called Madeline's Lemonade. It has limes in it also...and raspberries. So good!
