Bloom Baby Alma Crib

I just received an email about the new Alma crib from Bloom Baby. It looks great. Smaller footprint than a standard crib and it stores super compactly. It would be a smart move for an apartment, or for a bedroom needs to make room for more than one sibling.

Until Betty was two she slept in a small hotel crib with a similar size to the Alma (but admittedly less style). I much preferred it to our standard size crib. It's so easy to store that I've kept it for guests.

this is cute but for $400 it seems like a rip-off! This is coming from a full time grad student so maybe I'm just really poor.

this would be great for grandma's house, too. i know my mom likes to have a crib at her house when babies visit, but she doesn't love having it out all the rest of the time!

I saw this in San Francisco yesterday. They said it's solid birch wood, non-toxic paint, with solid stainless steel hinges. It looks pretty high quality, especially compared to other cribs (I've been shopping around...) I think I'm going to settle on this one. If you can make it for half the cost, post an email address! -Jen

Oh, I forgot to mention, this is smaller than other full size cribs. They're recommending it for parents bedroom which is why I want it. The store said they sold sheets for it too. Maybe those will work for you Julia? -Jen
