Religious Prints

As a churchgoer, I like to keep religious reminders around the house. It's a nice surprise when I find prints that are clean and bright instead of dark or medieval. Persimmon and Pink offers lots of options in their etsy shop. I think these would be pretty in my daughters' room.

Thank you, thank you! I'm going right on over now to purchase two! I am guilty of not having enough "church" stuff in my house for the very reasons you stated...usually too dark and not "my style"...even though church is ALWAYS in style!!!

I just bought my first house and was actually looking at these last week on Etsy. I am so glad to see church related art done in new ways. It got my brain turning with more and more ideas. Love It!

Those are beautiful! Man, I tell ya, you're like the style guide for us LDS people. (And others, I should say.)

Oooh, love these. I was just thinking about how I would like a temple picture that would fit with the rest of the decor in my kids' room. Thank you!

Gabrielle thank you for this post. It's hard to find modern, chic, religious art for a child's room. Now I have to search no further!

Thank you for posting this! I would be very interested in other religious finds of yours that fit in a more modern home like these. I am like others in that I end up not putting up as many religious pieces in our home as I would like, so if you have any other recommendations or ideas, let us know!

Have you seen the exhibit 'Reflections of Christ'? You can see their website www.reflectionsofchrist.org -- definitely worth checking out. They just made prints available and my husband and I are really wanting to put the photograph portraying Jesus Christ & John the Baptist smiling and hugging in the River Jordan in our home - it is beautiful & moving.

A grandmother says: I love the sweet prints.

It's nice if you can get something that will suit your taste and style, but I wouldn't lose valuable time waiting. Put something up now that will teach your children the concepts you cherish while you search for something that looks better to you.

That very act demonstrates that you value the principles more than you value your home decor. They'll notice.

Now why didn't I think of that!?!? Amen, sister. I would like some more "refreshing" church art to display. I like Minerva Tiechert paintings but some of the newer churchy stuff is Cheese!

Cute stuff for my daughter's room. I'll check it out!

I didn't know you were LDS, either. Is every lady who has a great blog Mormon? Crazy. These are something I need to think about for when I get my husband into the waters.

These are great. Be a churhgoer myself I always feel bad not wanting to hang church things up because to be honest they seem a little "old ladyish" for me. These finds are much better- colorful, modern, and I wouldn't mind hanging them on my walls!
