Matilda Jane Clothing

I think the Matilda Jane clothing line is adorable. And I like the story behind the clothing even more. A mom, who was not a trained fashion designer, just decided to go for it. Experimented. And made it happen. Now she's built this amazing and expanding company.

I love that she says, "I wish I could say I started because I could not find any cute clothes for my kids, but surely that is not a problem. The world is filled with talented designers." That attitude is the way to go — no excuses, and no reason to feel competitive with someone else's success. Just get out there and join in.

How exciting!! I just hosted my first Matilda Jane online trunk show...however had poor results. Made me very very sad. I think her items are ADORABLE! I just recently moved back home (3 hrs south of chicago) and the closest person to do a trunk show was a bit too far. I also think the prices are a bit to much for this area...so sad. However..I still get to order!

I have ordered from MJ and I love their clothes! I actually know some of those models as my friend Shannon takes some of the pics for the catalog. Thanks for posting!

I would not recommend Matilda Jane. I had a bad experience. I purchased items at a trunk show and then changed my mind. I tried to contact Matilda Jane about cancelling my order, but 2 emails and 1 phone call message later, they finally called back. Then the next day my order arrived. To return anything, there is a 15% restocking fee, plus the amount you have to pay to ship. Buyer beware. They dismiss my frustration as jealousy over another photographer displaying at the trunk show, but it has nothing to do with that. It has everything to do with poor communication and lack of good customer service.

Interesting that Tracya is posting this comment everywhere... she must be pretty upset. Sounds like sour grapes to me. A restocking fee is not unusual, especially since Matilda Jane is still a small company. I love the clothes!

I agree with Susan, I have had no problems with Matilda Jane, people stop us everywhere to tell us how cute my girls look when wearing it. If you have a problem with sizing or not wanting something, sell it on Ebay you get your money back and more sometimes!

Wow! I wish I had seen the online trunk show earlier...my daughter is 10 and I just discovered MJ. I only have a year or two at most (or maybe only ten minutes!) to keep dressing her like this, so I will keep coming back in hopes there will be another one!
