Joel Dewberry Fabrics
Oh look! I've just found my new favorite textile designer. His name is Joel Dewberry. And his designs are gorgeous. Like really gorgeous. Like I need to order a swatch book gorgeous. You can find his fabrics at these shops.
I know I've mentioned it at least 10 times, but I'll say it again: I adore pretty fabric. Textiles are probably my very favorite graphic design application. When asked what I want to be when I grow up, I still answer "a textile designer".
Okay. I'd better sign off for the day. I need to go have a daydream about designing a line of home products for Target using J. Dewberry fabrics.

i loooove that yellow chair. it looks like it belongs in grandma rudy's house. she has this fabulous yellow theme going on.
That color combo is so unusual and refreshing (aqua and mustard)...delicious....I too am a textile freak. I once managed a textile plant and had a hand in the design. And yes it is just as much fun as you would think.....
Cool fabrics. My background is interior design, but I want to be a textile designer when I grow up too!
And the fabric is just luscious to the touch too!
The fabric is even more delightful in person! I have a few items created with his fabrics and just LOVE them!!
Oh how funny to see this! I grew up playing at Joel's house! He is so very talented! Comes from a talented family! I love the fabrics, those colors are fantastic!
How fun to see this. I'm Joel's wife and I have a link to your blog on my blog that I check almost daily because I love your cool finds. I was so excited when I checked today to see that you had discovered my husband's line of fabric. Thanks for sharing it on your site!
Swoon.
I just came home with some of his fabrics from a local fabric store here in SC today. I love all of his stuff:)
These are so lovely!
I might have to hate you for introducing me to him. I LOVE it.
I've got a bunch of his stuff and it's great. I have a new company making home and baby stuff with these great fabrics. Hopefully we'll launch our site by May. His fabrics have a great feel and are good quality. He has a new home dec line coming out real soon. I can't wait! Other textile designers I'm love'n right now are...Anna Maria Horner, Erin McMorris and Heather Bailey. These are in addition to Amy Butler, of course. I totally agree with you that fun funky fabrics make my creative juices go crazy!
Thank you for sharing this. I am so inspired by fabrics and textiles... I think of ingredients when I see combinations of colors. Beautiful!
