Perfect Red Dress
Still haven't picked up a holiday dress for your lovely daughter? Here's one that nobody else will have. Because it comes from a shop called Oneity. And Oneity just launched online.
I think the lines and shaping of this little number are adorable. The shade of red is holiday perfect. And the price is more reasonable than a dress from any of the big children's stores. In girls' sizes 2 to 10 years. (A skirt in the same delicious fabric is available as well. In sizes 18 mos to 8 years.)
Hot sewing blogger Gina is a Oneity fan. She mentioned that the clothes are very well made and that the company philosophy is all about helping communities in developing countries. If that's the case than it sounds like I'm a Oneity fan as well.
Edit: Just heard from Oneity with two more interesting tidbits about these lovely dresses. The fabric is a very nice cotton sateen and was originally used by Hermes — nice. And these dresses are made by women in Madagascar Africa — also nice.

Not 30 minutes ago I posted about Oneity...I'm a huge fan as well. They just opened an online store so I'm thrilled that out-of-staters can take advantage of the beautiful clothes Oneity offers. What a treat! When you find a real gem like Oneity, you want to tell the world. By the way, I bought that red dress you feature in this post about 2 weeks ago and I couldn't be more thrilled. Think of the accessorizing you could do with such a simple, classic dress. Love it! The crew over at Oneity will certainly appreciate your "shout out" Design Mom!

I just ordered these last night--they have such adorable clothes and this dress and skirt are just so classic.
Everything about ONEiTY is amazing. I've been doing their photo shoots for the past year and just love the concept of their store. They give back to the countries that make the different items of clothing so that all moms can make a difference when they purchase. I love their smocking dresses and tops with the Peter Pan collars. As a artist/seamstress/mom, I too love oneity. They have great quality and workmanship....the prices are great too. Loved your blog
