Wednesday Letter to Nie Nie — by Guest Mom cjane

Dearest Beloved Nie-ster,

Here is a picture of our Easter eggs this year.

As you know, I can't live without the joys of Mod Podge.

These are real eggs that we blew-out (read: dizzy head) and decorated with tissue paper. I like that the Mod Podge makes the eggs more durable. I have a batch from every year since we've been married. I think I deserve an award.

Speaking of awards…or, rather rewards…

I don't have a hat to wear for Easter, but I did get this awesome vintage Easter dress in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Every time I go to Twin Falls I find the best dresses in their second-hand shops. I’ve decided that buying vintage dresses is going to be my first (and hopefully) only collection. Let me just tell you sweetheart, I am up to twelve dresses (including this one featured in Lucy’s engagement pictures)

and five skirts! If only I had lacy gloves. Are you going to wear your hat and gloves to Sunday Easter services? I guess I could wear my swanky rubber gloves from El Paso…

I am having sushi with my friends tonight. I can't decide if I'm more excited to wear my new blue shoes

or eat some Nigiri with a tich of wasabi. Mouth watering choices all around.

c jane

P.S. Tell Jane that I like, love her, like , a whole bunch.

I have family in Twin Falls. So when I'm up there I would love to check out these shops. Can you divulge the names?

I love the vintage dress! It reminds me of one my sister found in high school and wore on Easter...white with robin egg blue polka dots with a dress length robin egg blue coat (lined with the same polka dots on dress). She wore it with white gloves and white high heels. I envy her style as I envy yours!

Leisha I would love to see a picture of your sister. I can only imagine...

Cassie, I find the best dresses at the Desert Industries. It is nothing like Utah DI. Nothing is picked-over. It's like magic waiting to happen. Locals tell me that the Mustard Seed and the Salvation Army have great stuff. I enjoy the vintage shops downtown as well. Meet me there sometime...

I wish I was skinny again so I could look good in vintage dresses! I'm afraid the vintage dresses for someone my size look more like mumu's. *sigh* Luckily, styles for larger ladies have changed!

I love the eggs! I remember you made those with the YW when Elisabeth was there. I always wanted to try it. Maybe this year!

Wow,I feel so honored that I was your Guest commenter of the week. Tell Chup that he should shoot photos as an extra job. He has a great eye for the composition of the photo Or it might just be his subject since you are obviously his favorite so of course his photos are going to be fantastic. I would totally hate it if my husband had to have an on-screen kiss. I would not blame you if you threw a royal 2 year old fit. It would credit one. Love your vintage dress and shoes. I would wear the hat to church for sure
