Some Notes

Yesterday, a few lovely Design Mom Readers made me aware of a couple of kind shoutouts I had missed.

Thank you Apartment Therapy Nursery!

Thank you Superhero Journal!

Both are excellent sites — and I truly appreciated the kind words. Both have been recognized earlier here at Design Mom for their loveliness. Thank you one and all for spreading the Design Mom love.

One more thing.

I'll be taking next week off from blogging for Spring Break! I'm looking forward to some spring cleaning and organizing. Here is my list as it stands now:

1) do my taxes
2) finish prepping the silkscreen studio Ben and I have been putting together in our basement workroom
3) store t
he family's winter clothes and pull out the spring/summer options and see who has grown out of what
4) read another of my sister-in-law's book recommendations
5) prep a small (very small) garden plot

That's too much stuff already. But it all sounds really satisfying. If I only mark one thing off the list — the taxes — that will be fine with me. I promise to report when I get back. And I promise to have another excellent giveaway tomorrow. . .

Good luck!! I hope you have a great week off. I just finished The Namesake (from your SIL's list...) and loved it. All the books on her list are great.

You silkscreen too? Shesh lady.

Bek, that's so funny — I just finished The Namesake last week. It was so good. I kept wanting him to marry the girl who lived in Manhattan with her parents in the amazing brownstone.

And no, I don't really silkscreen. I took one class in college. But Ben really wants to silkscreen t-shirts when he gets the urge, so we're setting a small, but workable studio.
