Everyone has a story about wetting the bed as a senior in high school while sleeping in the same bed as two best friends, right?Read mine at NY Metro Parent's Blog.
Gabby, I was DYING when I read your Metro Parents entry. You crack me up...... I love those posts.
BTW..I keep trying to register so I can comment there, but it doesn't let me. Last time I actually registered but it wouldn't let me log in. I'll keep trying.
I'm pretty much just too lazy to register for another comments thingy so I'll tell you here that I really liked your posts.
The one about being deliberate especially hit home for me. I am cheap, and I like to cobble together things out of whatever I find along the way, which can lead to an unhappy pack-rattishness. Some piles of stuff make me happy to dig into and pull together but others clutter up my life, and it can be difficult to judge which is which.
Now that I'm a mom I want to give Toby room to be curious & creative without cluttering him out of our slightly-too-small house. And that's before I even approach the idea of evaluating his "stuff" for what it teaches him and what it says about him... I am going to have to let that idea percolate a while.
Gabby, I love to read a new side to you on the Parent's blog. It's like we get Design Mom and Down-to-Earth Mom all in one package.
Also, I loved what you wrote for your bio on the Parent's blog about chest issues and body issues. It was very empowering and I wanted to thank you for it. You are such a wonderful person (and so is your husband...)
