Birth Video from Jarica
I'm just now sitting down at my desk after my morning prenatal visit. All is well. I was encouraged to add more pineapple and dried apricots to my diet — apparently both are high in iron. Who knew? Plus, I got the "all-clear" for a quick trip to New York next weekend.
It wasn't exactly a St. Patrick's Day celebration, but it was still fun to be out and about and see everyone wearing green. Are you doing anything special for St. Patrick's Day? Did your kids wear green to school? I'm thinking it would be fun to pick up a box of Lucky Charms for an after school snack today.
In the meantime, I've got some great posts for you. Starting with this beautiful birth video (nothing graphic, I promise) from Jarica Madsen.

Granted, I'm 32 weeks pregnant, but I cried the whole way through.----------

1. I did not realize I was only 5 1/2 weeks behind you
2. That was a darling video. I welled up too.
3. I am looking forward to your Wednesday postings. On Tuesdays I actively work on embracing my pregnancy with things I am looking forward to/things I am enjoying as my topic.
As what was supposed to be my due date draws nearer, I can't help but be a little emotional.
That video was absolutely beautiful.
I am not pregnant and it made me cry! I love pregnancy and birth! What a miracle!!
Gosh, you and I are about half a week apart in due dates...me with my first, though ; )
I cried watching the video too. Very sweet.
Oh that music kills me every time. What an awesome video - I loved all the parts with the grandparents too.
I gave birth last week to number 3 and I was so glad to see this beautiful woman piled under warm blankets, shivering. I didn't realize everybody did that. I hadn't done it with either of my other two and I thought it was so weird--but those warm blankets are like heaven when you can't stop shivering. I wish I had thought to have my husband take pictures of the clock and the preparations, things like that. This is such a neat idea.
i'm 24 weeks along with my first baby, but even if i werent, i think i'd still cry. this video is beautiful. and that momma looks pretty well put together -- hope i look half as good when i go into labor!
thanks for sharing.
I'm 33 weeks with my first. This was a breath of fresh air. Thanks for sharing. And, from this music I decided what my labor soundtrack will be. :-)
32 weeker here! Geez that video was amazing. I want me one like that this time around!
What a beautiful video. I always cry when I see new mommies able to hold their babies right after they are born. With both of mine I didn't have that option. My 3 year old was retracting and my daughter was 2 months early. My son, I held him about 2 hours after. My daughter, I had to wait for 2 days. Maybe one day I will get to experience that.
I reposted this on my facebook page!!! What a wonderful video!! My daughter turns 2 on Saturday and I cried during the entire video thinking of the wonderful day
she was born!
Are you going to New York for Macaron Day? http://macarondaynyc.com/home.html
I loved this video. I wish I had made a video like this for my 5 little ones. Maybe it is not too late. I just happen to know Jarica's sweet sisters and happened upon this video by surprise. It is amazing how connected we all are in the bloggin world. Thanks for sharing.
beautiful video, have to say this was my first view of bathing, foot prints, eye drops, etc. after 2 pregnancies and 3 babies...all by c-section and premature twins, it was nice to see what they 'do to' babies after they're born!
Sigur Ros is always magic. What a beautiful video. Thanks for sharing.
Enjoy NY for me! I talked to Juliane today and I'm missing NY and all you girlfriends. One of these days soon we will catch up on the phone. So excited for you and your new baby Blair. ;)
That was a really sweet video...I'm not pregnant, but I thought it was great! :)
beautiful video and gosh, i love sigur ros! almost 41 weeks along myself with our first... feeling a bit impatient, but surfing the net through some pretty awesome blogs like your is as good a way as any to help pass the time!
OMG, I need to have another baby!
I sobbed the whole way through it and I'm not 32 weeks pregnant. Wish I'd seen it before I had my baby 2 months ago, I would have tried to do something similar. What a great thing to have forever.
Almost makes me want to have a 5th---almost......
