Ice Milk Aprons

Good morning, Friends! I couldn't post yesterday due to some technical difficulties. My apologies to those of you who checked in hoping for some new content. Happily, the technical stuff was resolved this morning and I've got some fantastic posts to share today.

First off, what are your thoughts on aprons? I tend to favor waist aprons versus full aprons — and I adore these straightforward, really beautiful options from Ice Milk Aprons. (Although, right now, I'm happy for anything that covers my giant tummy.) Something about the change of seasons seems to draw me into the kitchen. In the fall, I crave pie making. In the spring, I like cake.

Do you use aprons in the kitchen?

I rarely use aprons, but when I do I use a full apron. There are so many cute ones out there now, though. It's hard to choose!

I like a full apron - I'm quite messy in the kitchen. I like that dress form very much.

I have a few aprons but need to use them more. I usually use a full apron but these waist aprons are adorable. Anthropologie carries a cute line too!

I use an apron everyday in the kitchen. I have some for entertaining and some for getting messy :) These are super cute. I think I might have to get me one or two ;) TFS

I need a full apron - what's not covered will be covered by the time I finish cooking/baking. Have you seen Made On Maple's variation on the Emmiline Reversable Apron pattern by Sew Liberated? http://madeonmaple.blogspot.com/2010/03/emmeline-apron.html

Short or long I love aprons, especially ones from Anthropologie. Of course, what's not to love about Anthro!

I love the look of aprons and will stare at them in the stores, pining over them. But I have one that I actually use and can't ever see myself using another...even with my pregnant belly...it's one I wore as a kid in my mom's kitchen, that she used to fold & tuck so it wouldn't be too long for me. It's full length with a divided pocket in front. The bib has a picture of a crashing airplane and a caption below it reads: some days are up, some days are down.
My grandpa and my dad both used to fly, so it makes me think of them. (Neither one ever crashed a plane and both are living, they just don't fly currently)

I'm a messy baker...full aprons for this girl. I don't really see the point of a half-apron, unless it's for looks. Am I missing something?

Love these aprons. Now those are some I could dig... and probably reproduce. My only apron was one I received from a camera shop since I spent so much there, twice. So I received two, one for the kitchen, one for the darkroom. Still use the kitchen one every once in awhile, it's a full apron, 10 years later.

I use an apron just about every time I cook! While I make them for fun I didn't have one for me until about a year ago. I was always giving them away or making them for someone else. Anyway, I prefer the full apron because I am always getting stuff on my shirt. I also like the ones that tie around the neck and that have long enough waste straps that they can tie in the front :) Love the ones you posted, very simple!
