HP Touchsmart Printer

Want to see me and all my kids try out the new
HP Touchsmart Printer? Check it out. The video is short and it shows my (darling) children, so it's been on pretty much constant replay at my house since Friday. (You may remember my post about our filming day last month.)

Know what else happened on Friday? We had an ultrasound. The baby is doing very well — all fingers and toes intact. Thank you for asking. We wrapped up the ultrasound photos in a little box and put it under the tree. We're going to have the kids open it up for Christmas.

It's killing me not to disclose the gender, but won't it be fun for them to find out that way?

Congrats! We had our ultrasound a couple weeks ago and had them write the sex in an envelope. It's been hanging on our tree for 4 weeks and we're opening it on Christmas with the whole (including extended) family! I feel like a little kid! I'm so excited for opening that Christmas present!

that's a great way to find out!! and that printer looks super convenient!

I have a friend who took the envelope (with the gender written in it) to a bakery. The baker made a cake with the color icing in the middle layer the color of the gender. The whole family gathered round as they sliced the cake at home, and it revealed blue icing!!

we did an ultrasound photo--sort of triangular shaped--topped with a start and wrote a note to all the extended family. many of us were together for Christmas, so it was fun watching everyone open their own envelope to get the news. especially since there would be a 17 year gap between our last child and the baby. because our oldest son is married, all thought it was a grandparent announcement. surprises all around! what a sweet thing to give the children.

great commercial and how fun for the kids!

i've been following you for a couple years and i am amazed at as busy as you are, how you involve your kids so much and do such cool things with them. i love your sibling gift ideas and plan to do that next year.

your ultrasound gift sounds great too! when we found out what we were having, we bought an outfit and wrapped it up, then let the kids tear it open to reveal what we were having. they loved it! i have 4 boys and a baby girl. :)

I just have to tell you that commercial is so cute and your family is adorable. I'd buy one of those from that commercial alone. You did a great job!
And PS, that is an awesome way to tell the kids. So fun!

I have to tell you that I had seen this video when you first posted it and tonight, when our old printer died, I remembered it! My husband went out to the store and bought us the new HP Photosmart Premium and I have been playing with it all night. VERY VERY COOL!! I just wanted you to know that it was 100% from your ad that I knew of it and to purchase it. (I can't wait to show my kids the paper airplane and coloring sheets I just printed out for them tomorrow morning!) Thanks so much and thanks for a great blog. I am an avid fan of yours!
