Nie Nie
Have you read the fantastic article about Nie Nie? It's by Jaimee Rose of the Arizona Republic. It's so good. (I'm linking to the intro, but there are 10 parts — you don't want to miss any one them.)
I know there are people everywhere who endure ridiculously hard things every single day. But sometimes I forget. I'm thankful for the good reporters who give us glimpses into the lives of our fellow human beings. So that we can find inspiration when we see what people can overcome. So we can see how and where to help. So we can live more compassionately.

i just read the 2nd part yesterday and with tears in my eyes i was reminded about how precious life is and that even in our deepest hour...whatever that hour might be, there is always hope. nie nie shows us through her life the power of love, of prayer, of God, of family and of hope.
Amazing. Where can I find her blog?
thanks for linking to her. she inspires me daily and so do you.
I love Nie...she is so amazing. I am glad to know that it was a journey for her too. Sometimes we get so caught up in how we aren't were we want to be that we forget that it is possible to overcome almost anything. Her story helps me get out of bed on those really bad days...
I am so impressed by Jaimee Rose (and by Nie Nie, of course). That article was well-written, powerful, and inspiring. I cried as I read it.

I was moved. That was a tear-jerker. Nie is a very brave and strong woman. I salute her for her courage.
I was introduced to her blog a few months ago, and read it from beginning to end in one night. I cried, I laughed, and I literally fell in love with this woman. She's one of the most amazing inspirational people I have ever come across. She's a constant reminder that motherhood and marriage should be treasured an not taken for granted as so many of us, including myself do.
She inspired me to open a "heartwill" (myheartwill.com) so that I may have a secure place to enjoy memories (pictures, drawings, videos) of my kids and husband. They are preserved and protected for our eyes only, so that I may one day look back at the beautiful life I've had as a mother and as a spouse.

I've been following her for a while...and I ADORE her. I have moments where I'm shopping, or laughing at something, and I think, "Nie would like that". Then I feel silly, because really, I don't know her, but I think of her so often. Bless her.
I am addicted to her blog and story. I think she is the most amazing person. And the article just showed all the things that she didn't mention so much in her blog... how she struggled with staying positive the whole time. And it's so sad. But she is amazing to have pulled through. x
i don't know how her story has eluded me for so long. i spent hours and hours last night reading her story and then her blog....every entry for the past 2+ years. thank you for for your post, which lead me to her inspiring story, i'm a far better person for it.
I love Nie Nie too, and how beautiful is that room?
what an amazing story. thanks for sharing
I JUST posted about this, too. I found that feature on Nie Nie amazing and inspiring and I'm praying for her more than ever, and am thankful for the perspective she's shared, allowing us strangers to learn from and change within our hearts.

Nei Nei is a fighter, a lover, a saint. She amazes me, the world, her family, and I think maybe even, at times, herself. I love her.
