Paper Water Bottle

Have you seen or heard about this? BrandImage has invented a water bottle made from paper. I know I'm not an "eco-blog" but this kind of innovative idea absolutely interests me. I love when I see good problem solving — or even attempts at good problem solving.

I really don't know why bio-degradable is considered good eco-friendly design. We don't biodegrade our garbage. We seal it in airtight, watertight landfills where not even a ham sandwich will ever biodegrade. We should be recycling and reusing packaging materials -- plastic, paper, glass or metal -- and not promoting concepts that are not useful.

I am always interested by innovative eco-products. This is so simple, yet pretty slick. But looking at the images, is this a one time open bottle? At least with the earth killing plastic bottle, I could always screw the cap back on.

marenghi media, you could compost it or take it to your local farmer/farmers market, give it to them for them to compost. yes?

It's hard for me to see this as eco friendly. it doesn't seem like that much of an improvement, i mean if its made out of paper where does the paper come from? I think reuse is more important than biodegradable products that really don't get biodegraded in the end....
