Pretty Party
Spotted on kirtsy. Look how cute this two-year-old's birthday party is! Such a great color scheme. Such pretty party hats.
My favorite part is when the hostess admits right off the bat that she spent too much time and money on a party for a two-year-old. I'm the same way. Half of why I throw parties at all is just so I can make something pretty and do something creative.

Oh, what a cute party! I love that her cat wasn't left out of the birthday hat scene. Very important.
Birthdays, weddings, Christmas...all excuses to let ourselves create freely. It's fantastic. Gets me soooo excited.
Parties are so fun but this one could be done on the cheap too. Tableware from the dollar store, paper hats made from card stock, a boxed mix for the cupcake etc. The trick to is to color coordinate everything. The cake plate could even be a plate sitting on top of a cup. With the economy the way it is today, we can still have our fun and not give up too much in style.

Cute, cute. I just made some party hats for my sons first birthday. It was a VERY simple celebration but having the party hats made everything seem a bit more festive!
that is darling! love those colors together.
Those hats are cute! I can just imagine how they'd look on a soft curly head of hair.
I've got three boys, and with every kid I could just not resist going all out for every birthday, whether they'll remember it our not--so I know what you mean...
She may have spent too much time and money but it looks absolutely worth it, no?
