Beaba

In one week, I heard about this little appliance from three of my best sources — leading me to understand the Beaba is one hot little number. All three mentioned that it was French. That is has been all the rage in Europe. And that it's just now available in the US. You know how I get that longing look in my eye for anything Euro-chic. . .

Why all the fuss? Because the Beaba is a multi-tasker. It steams. It blends. It warms. It defrosts. All in the same compartment. And it does it under 15 minutes. Enabling you to make healthy, fresh meals for baby without much trouble or mess.

I'm thinking this will make a perfect baby gift — especially for my friends who've already had a baby and still own all the traditional gear. Especially cute paired with this wholesome baby cookbook.

this is made of polycarbonate... i was almost going to get one until i found out... i don't want to take a chance in getting Bisphenol A (BpA) in my baby's food.

Brilliant! But my husband won't let me get any more kitchen appliances since we have things that do all those things already. This is so much BETTER though! All in one! No cleaning a million things! Boo. The cookbook will definitely be coming home with me though. Thanks for the tip!

This product is brilliant!

By the way, I have checked and it is not made of polycarbonate. You can contact Williams Sonoma or Beaba in France and they will inform you.

My husband got me this beaba food cooker and the matching cookbook for mother's day...We are expecting our first child and it was such a thoughtful gift!! The cookbook has lots of good stage appropriate meals even if you just use an ordinary food processor. We got them both at Williams-Sonoma, he supposedly got the last one in the midwest which was found in Chicago in case you are looking for one! Good luck :)

It’s a must have!
I’m originally from Belgium and I can honestly say that most families with kids have one. And for good reason... So before they were available in the US, I brought one with me when I was expecting my first child. Even with the big voltage transformer, I can’t imagine living without this wonderful, timesaving, space saving, multi-tasking, perfect healthy baby food making, and sooo much more, appliance.
I can only say one thing; it’s worth the money!

I'm headed to Austin today to pick one up for my little Sophie..I'll post an update after I've used it...my friends w/o babies are dying to try it too. It'll be great for sneaking purees into regular food as well.

I used my Beaba for the first time this morning to make apple sauce for my 5 month daughter. It was so easy and she LOVED it. Does anyone know where I can get the offical Beaba cookbook in the US? So far I have only been able to find it on UK websites - shipping ends up costing more than the book. I'll probably break down and get it anyway. WONDERFUL product!
