Done.
It's 9:00pm. We have officially finished up our valentines-for-classmates preparations. Things I'm thinking: 1) I have a lot of children. 2) Those children have a lot of classmates. It turns out Colorado has bigger class sizes than New York. It took me until Valentines Day to notice.
We used this clever idea on Kirtsy — via 24-7-365. I think they turned out great. We couldn't get Betty to stop looking at her fist. And Oscar refused to wear anything red. But we rolled with it.
To those who are up late making stuff: I salute you with my exacto knife.

I CANNOT wait to do this next year ADORABLE!!! BUT I willnot procrastinate! (And it will annoy me that the kiddos will tear them apart before they are appreciatted.)

Yeah, I'm totally stealing that idea for next year. Thank you in advance.
Those are awesome! What a great idea.
We did these this year too. Such a cute idea!
That is the cutest thing ever, heck,I couldn't stop looking at Betty's fist...I almost sent you a message asking how you photo shopped that effect. You are a good mom. Me? We always did princess and ninja turtle cards...I miss those days.
betty!! you are the cutest
positively adorable!
i'm so glad you liked them! aren't they SO easy!!?
cutest valentines i've seen!
Just did the same idea for my son. Trouble is, I found out today, that they can't have any sweets, so I had to make a trip to the dollar store for fake roses and pencils for him to hold instead of suckers. Grrr! Agreed about class sizes (AZ is high!), but these were much quicker than the i-pod valentines I just finished with my daughter.
LOVE!
Wish I had seen these before I did all the Valentine's for my daughters class. There's always next year!
These are the cutest ideas!! Can't wait to try this one next year!!
These are so cute and I so wanted to do them, but just knowing they would wind up in the trash was eating away at me. I don't want my kiddos pic in the trash! But they are truley adorable!!!! We did melted heart crayons, so I don't care where they end up! :)
Absolutely adorable!
I think Betty looking at her "treat" is perfect!!
Good job supermum, sorry, supermom!
I saw that AWESOME post too! Yours turned out great!
i made the same ones. everyone is going to get the same valentines this year!!!
Those are SO ADORABLE!! Love it!
I "used" her idea too and just blogged it!

You rock! I can't wait to play around wit this idea :)
I like how she's looking at her fist! :) It's like she's really eyeing that lollipop and also wants it for herself. :)
OMG! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS!!!
These are so sweet!
I can't wait until my kids are old enough to have classmates so we can do this! Super cute.
SCRUMPTIOUS!r
SO cute! What a fabulous idea! If I ever have children, can I move to your neighborhood so you can supervise my crafts?
I was up late rolling MadLibs, but totally worth it. Thanks for that idea, too!
Tied the last potato printed tag onto the last cello bag containing a homemade iced by mama valentine's cookie at 11 pm.
Love yours! So cute!
I finished the last few ladybugs (Skip To My Lou) around 10;30. But, those are AMAZING. Next year-but I'm starting in December!
WOWOWOWOWOWOW!
These are fabulous. Totally going to use this idea... Inspirational!
Thanks for the share!
I am SO doing this next year! How fun!
These are the absolute cutest Valentines I've seen, and they also look like some of the easiest to mass produce. I will have to remember these for when I have kids!

Seriously fabulous. And insane. You're an awesome Mom!
PS: have you seen the stylish co-sleeper Swiss Miss posted today?
so clever. Bookmarking this idea for next year.
I did these for two of my kids this year too. Actually, my SIL did all of the cutting. I should get her an exacto knife.
SO CUTE! I love that Betty isn't looking directly at the camera. She is just darling.
We ordered some printable Valentine's day cards from Etsy and I've yet to receive the pdf file in my email. We've got about 1 hr 45 minutes till it is time to leave for school, so I hope it comes soon. Otherwise we'll have fruit roll ups and no cards. I should have ordered them extra early just in case. Lesson learned.
awesome!
Awesome cards! This year we did a variation of your Mad-Lib Valentine's and they worked great.
What a great idea! Not only for Valentine's day but for all sort of cute favors!
So funny! I was just going to email you my valentine idea, and here it is! Super easy to do and CUTE, my kids friends were big fans!
amen about that exacto-knife!
I wish I'd seen this before I order my color it yourself pdf files from Etsy! (although I love those too!) Can I get this done in 3 hours! I think I can, I think I can...
They turned out great!! I love that she's looking at it. Happy Valentine's Day!
I remember seeing this idea on kirtsy last year and thinking it was a hoot. You are one heck of a mamma. Your kids are lucky to have such a thoughtful/creative woman in their lives!
All the valentines are sooo adorable. I will bookmark for the future! Just a question: do your kids ever balk at the homemade of it all? I remember my mom was all about the crafts growing up but sometimes I just wanted a plastic Halloween costume or to give out Strawberry Shortcake valentines. I definitely appreciate her now!
I Did these too - http://tuesdayswithmolly.blogspot.com/2010/02/thumbs-up.html
love my x-acto knife!!
This is the darndest, cutest idea in the whole wide world! You are the coolest Mom evah!
Posting you up today!!! These Valentine's are so stinkin cute!!! WOW!!!! I think I will make my teenagers take pics and do this for all their high school teachers!!! Would they just die or what!!!! How I live to embarrass my children!

we did this too. love it.
Another adorable idea!
Those are SO clever!
Totally presh.
so cool. def. my plan for next year.
I think this American tradition of giving valentines to classmates and just to about any other acquaintance is crazy. And it really deprives lovers of their own day! Of course it's just to sell more candies and balloons and the likes...Can't we stop???
Love these! And I can't wait to hear about the HOT Date! Maybe I'll send my hubby your way for some ideas...
I can't believe how much work you put into these! You are so talented. Thanks to you and your readers for ideas on cards for my twins. I couldn't get my six year old boy sold on the idea of melting perfectly good (to him) crayons into heart shapes. We did make something, though....I blogged about it over here:
http://ttwcreative.blogspot.com/2010/02/handmade-valentines.html.
GREAT idea!!
We made these Valentines for my daughter last year too! I convinced her to do again this year since she needed 39 this year - YIKES!

I actually think it looks cuter when your daughter is looking at her fist... too cute!
Holy cow! Those are absolutely brilliant!
cutest ever...i want to make these
Major BOOKMARK!
THESE ARE AWESOME!!! this makes me want to adopt a 6 year old, simply so i can replicate these valentine's for their classmates (hehe)

Absolutely cutest pictures and idea ever!
the valentines turned out so cute! gotta remember that for next year!
Those are just awesome! Can't wait to try something like that once our little guy is older!
I actually did this and the turned out great! I recommended a strip of tape on the back to hold the lollipop in place because the kids want to yank it out before opening the card! Even my husband pulled the sucker before looking at it! Lol
this is hands-down the cutest valentine idea i have ever seen!
These are the cutest Valentines I have ever seen!
OH. MY. GOSH. These are amazing. I am SOOOOO lifting this idea for next year. Thank you so much for sharing.
They turned out awesome! Way to go, Super Mom! :)

WOW! Just...wow. Let's see if I can remember this for next year.
This is a wonderful idea! do you mind if I used your idea next year?
Hands down those are the coolest valentines EVER!!!!
Those are the CUTEST Valentines Day cards I have EVER seen!! I totally know what we're doing next year! ;-)
As for my kiddos'? One didn't get to participate because their class was bad (He's in 5th grade), and the other, I stayed up most the night cutting out flowers (that I had asked my husband to draw simple daisies.. what I got was ful of angles and points! *sigh*) punching holes in them, putting suckers thru the holes, and taping name "leaves" to the "stem" of the sucker. Of course, the only comment I got on them was from the teacher. LOL
Great idea! I love it!
