Crewcuts Catalog

Did you see the cover of the latest Crewcuts catalog?

I am in love. For your next family pictures, promise me you'll fly to Chile and pose the shots in a red row boat in the middle of a snowy forest. Then cross your heart and hope to die.
Stick a needle in your eye.

The stylists have outdone themselves with this catalog. Every shot is delightful. And the clothes. The clothes!

Isn't it Chile? Or is it somewhere chilly? A little confused over here!

Am I the only one who thinks it's ridiculous to spend $200 on a pair of kids shoes (the ballet flats) or $100 on a girl's cardigan sweater?! Sure, the stuff is lovely, but come on! I don't spend that kind of money on my own clothes.

Karey M - You are fantastic. You made my day.

Kirstin - For sure you are not the only one in wonder at some of the Crewcuts prices. They're no Target. (Did you see the t-shirt of the month club? It looked adorable, but they didn't even list a price — I'm assuming because it was ridiculous to see in print?)

That said, I still can't help loving Crewcuts. I find much inspiration in their catalog pages and I've also scored some fantastic pieces when they make their markdowns. A great tie for Ralph for $10. A gorgeous holiday dress for Maude for $30.

If you have tween age daughters, I think Crewcuts is an especially helpful source to look for style and wardrobe clues. They are really good at coming up with designs that don't look too babyish or alternatively, too scandalous.

When it's hard to find a dress that my 10 year old, Maude, would be willing to wear, Crewcuts totally saves the day.

I am so with you! I loved this last catalog and the photo styling and clothing are both fantastic. Also with you on the price thing. It is so fun when you can score on their sales or at their outlet! They are great for ideas and inspiration though. We here at the pina colada home try not to be too "babyish or too scandalous" as well! Off to buy my canoe!

Does anyone else wish they could buy some of the little girl clothes for themselves? Seriously.

My almost 6-year-old announced the other day that she no longer loves poofy dresses. After I picked myself up off the floor, we sat the computer and checked Crewcuts for a good Christmas dress. Even though the prices were a little *gulp* steep (I have no other girls to pass them on to) their sales are always really good and there's free shipping on Crewcuts orders.

I know!! It's pure love for those photos!

And I am in love with the adult clothing too... we used many dresses in our last blog post about holiday dressing. So simple and refined.

Just found your blog and love it!!

I think H&M is a great alternative for funky clothes for kids. And the prices are much more affordable!! If you happen to have a store nearby that sells kids' clothes, you should check it out!

I am making a mental note of this idea for future family photographs to come! I love the styling!

Though I am also in love with your own family photos with the gorgeous use of primary colors. I think I might like those even better than this.

I love crewcuts. We are getting family photos done and I just could not find anything for our girls anywhere. When I saw the crewcuts clothes that was it, I was sold. The prices are high but for occasions like family photos ( with blue lily ) You just pay it because you know it is good stuff :)
