Wild Thing Mural

The internet just delivered something wonderful to my inbox. A time-lapse video by Grassroots Modern of a Where The Wild Things Are mural being painted on a bedroom wall. (For the record, I didn't intend to focus on Where The Wild Things Are this week, but sometimes themes just happen.) The mural artist is Tony. You can see still images of the mural here.

Time lapse films are pretty freaking awesome, don't you think? I never seem to tire of them.

Thanks for the link, Azucar!

That's amazing; I love timelapse. But I'm a little concerned that I don't know the Radiohead song playing in the background... you don't know where that's from do you? I'm going to have to do a little research here.

That was an excellent idea for such a small space. Its a very narrow room. The mural is just so much fun. Rally nice line work on the mural.

I love anything and everything Maurice Sendak, especially WTWA! Have you seen http://www.terribleyelloweyes.com/ yet? If not, get thee over there right now and prepare to be amazed and awestruck.

Very, very cool. I want someone to come to my house and paint a time-lapse mural while playing Radiohead!

That's a really impressive mural! I thought maybe it was vinyl wall art at first! Sooo very cool. Would love a room like that in my house. Sigh. Guess I'll just wait to take my kids to the new "Where the Wild Things Are" movie instead ;)

Love, love it! When we finally move into a house we're going to stay in I'm going to try and convince DH to do a mural...somewhere. Such a great art form.

Oh, I love that mural. And I love the book, too. Actually I love it so much that I gave it to a family member who has a little boy and was told it wasn´t appropriate, he would get nightmares from it. Because, you know, there were monsters in it! Oh well.
