Cinnamon Bears
Apparently certain candies are regional? I don't think I saw a cinnamon bear the entire 8 years I was in New York, but they are widely available here. Happily, I heart cinnamon bears. Which is why, when I came upon the 5 lb bag of them during a midnight run to the grocery store, I said: yes, please.
Five pounds is a lot of cinnamon bears. A lot. If you're having a craving, please stop by so I can share them with you.

Have you ever had chocolate covered cinnamon bears? They are to die for, seriously delish.
Yum!
5 pound bag, that is AWESOME! i have to pick them up a pound at a time at the natural grocery store or the candy store at the mall. mmm. my favorite.
What? No cinnamon bears in New York? Crazy. Also, I second Ashlee's comment about chocolate covered cinnamon bears. yes yum.
chocolate covered cinnamon bears from byu are the best I have ever had! Unfortunally I can only have 1 I am allergic to the cinnamon? :(
And it's not easy finding a grocery store open at midnight in Boston!
We had chocolate fountains at our wedding and we tried cinnamon bears. Confession: I was just going for something a little colorful that would look good with the strawberries and all.
They were delicious!!
But we moved to California just days after the wedding and we can't find cinnabears anywhere! Tragic. They are the one thing always missing at our fondue parties.
They are one of my favorites and have been since I discovered them at the BYU candy counter during my college days. I'd love to share with you!
I love cinnamon bears. They are good dipped in chocolate too.
My favorite treat.
Yummy! Now I must run to the store...
oh so good! enjoy!
They are oh so yummy. Do you have any Turkish Delight? I can only find that in Canada. My relatives send me boxes of it along with yummy Coffee Krisp bars. So happy to hear you've had the chance to taste such yummy red goodness.
In Utah, there are chocolate covered cinnamon bears everywhere. (sounds nasty to me)
funny! Have you ever had chocolate covered cinnamon bears? They're awesome.
Apparently I'm not the first person to say that, just read the rest of the comments. But it's true.
I haven't been able to find them near my home in Houston. I wish I were closer. I'd definitely drop by plus I'd love to see the piano.
Thanks for the invitation ;} and the post!
Yes, I love them too:) Unfortunately all the red dye gives me a headache the next day.... I am sure its not all the sugar! LOL:)
mommy likey.
Oooh, I love a good cinnamon bear! They must be soft to be delicious
i heart anything cinnamony.
YUMMY! I love them & reg gummy bears choc covered!
just at your regular grocery store? I will have to look but I don't think we have these.
never heard of these before.
There are no cinnamon bears here in Ohio and it makes me sad. My sister-in-law sent me some chocolate covered cinnamon bears when I had my 3rd son and that is why she will always be my favorite sister-in-law :).
I haven't had a cinnamon bear in a long time. Haven't even thought about them in years, but now I'm craving them :-)
I am so on your team with the cinnamon bear issue. I love them and I cannot get them here in Jersey. I buy them in bulk everywhere when I go to Utah. Why don't they have them here? I think I need a trip to your region. Chocolate covered ones rock!
These are my dad's favorite - I always pick him up a bag when I'm downtown St. Paul at Candyland :)
What are your crossroads; I'll be there in 10 minutes ;)
I concur. The BYU candy counter's chocolate covered cinnamon bears are FANTASTIQUE!! If I had 5 pounds of them I would eat them by myself.... no sharing.
I may just have a friend send me a pound or two!
I seriously recommend you FIND some chocolate covered cinnamon bears IMMEDIATELY - they are life changing!!
How strange that you never saw them in NY. They are delicious, especially covered in chocolate. Yum!
I love cinnamon bears. I also like the seasonally available santas, devils, bunnies.
Those remind me of my undergrad days! Not sure when I had one last. I'm a time zone away...please send some my way!
I am a cinnamon bear expert and Sweet's Brand are hands down the best in America. They are a Salt Lake company and nothing compares. I guess they do tours of the factory too which is fun for the kids. Check it out next time you are in Salt Lake.
If I found a 5 lb bag of Sweet's Brand cinnamon bears I would be in heaven.
yea, they definitely don't have cinnamon bears here in London. Come to think of it, they don't have anything cinnamon flavored. Pity.
And wow, quite a lot of comments from some pretty passionate cinnamon bear lovers :)
nooooo cos gelatin has animal stuff in it!
Funny, I thought I was the only one addicted to those BYU candy counter bears. Coupled with pretzels (think salty and sweet) they pulled me through many a study sessions at the old HBLL.
I would have to agree these are my ultimate favorite treat!

Dip those babies in chocolate and I'll be right over
Yummy! I just picked myself up a bag of Sweets cinnamon bears while I was in Utah. That is the only brand of cinnanom bears I will eat. Anything else is too sweet.
i'm so disappointed! i saw this post and instantly started craving cinammon bears (i'm pregnant). i ran to the store that night and couldn't find any.
I love these, too, but can't seem to find them lately. Ack!
They're TOTALLY regional - I grew up in upstate NY and our grandmother in Utah always sent them to us. The result: my siblings and I all thought Utah was such a magical place...
of course they have them in nyc! economy candy on the LES has them (as, i'm sure, does dylan's candy bar), but i have gotten them at the many smaller bulk candy shops around town as well. you just have to be a candy fiend (ahem) to search them out.
all that said, are they locally made in utah? 5lbs? girl after my own heart.
In Australia, cinnamon candy is rarely available. We just aren't big on cinnamon (nor on peanut butter/chocolate bars) :(.
Sounds so good!
Oh yes, just saw the other comment about chocolate covered cinnamon bears - had them for the first time the other day and ate about a pound. YUMMY!
