Stephanie Nielson, who goes by Nie Nie on her blog, was critically injured, along with her husband, in a plane crash. Stephanie's blog, Nie Nie Dialogues, is a positive, beautiful place -- her readers (including me) were devastated by her awful news and have been rallying around her in every way we know how.
There have been fundraisers and blog posts and news reports and auctions and all sorts of things while she was in a chemically induced coma for months. Her sister Courtney (who goes by cjane online) kept us in the know for the past several months about Stephanie's progress.
Nie is now starting the long road of rehabilitation. We, her readers, have all been hoping she would be well enough to blog again -- we've missed her voice. And on January 16th, she did. Yay!
