More Inspiration
There's nothing like the holidays to help you get your make on. I've been getting links and emails right and left showcasing some of the gorgeous gifts and decorations being created or planned this month. Like this Gingerbread House sent in by an expat in London. Lindsey has big plans to make this with her daughter. She found the recipe and instructions at BBC Good Food. I am swooning over the steeply sloping roof.
My friend Jill hosted a Christmas Party last week and took the opportunity to deck. the. halls. I was especially drooling over her flower arrangements. Which were all over the house. Gorgeous! And such a great idea to fill the vases with pine boughs. (Note to self: learn from Jill — you can never be too generous with roses.)
What about you? Are you getting your make on this year?

I keep a folder of all images, websites, etc that I find inspirational. It helps to be able to look back at things to draw inspiration for my designs. That gingerbread house is definitely going in the folder.
Such a cute gingerbread house. I bought one this year at Trader Joe's with a sloped roof like that and imported from Germany (unassembled) for only $8. It was fun and a little different than the ones from Costco.
Wow! If you just switch the pink roses with pink tulips, those bottom 2 pictures are all the exact flowers I used at my wedding, same colors and everything. So pretty! =)
Totally getting my make on!
I've been working on a little girl's bedroom for a house on the Christmas House tour in my town. (check it out here (http://pumpkinpetunia.blogspot.com), if interested.)
Now that the tour is over, I am long on inspiration but very short on time. I need to get busy!
Absolutely getting my make on. Bird ornaments for outside. Popcorn garland for the chickens. High hopes for gingerbread houses and now I just saw Foothill Home Companions paper stars. I am way too busy to be making comments on blogs actually. Must go. :)
I'll admit I am really happy with my decor this year. Since we are newly(ish)weds.. we dont have a ton of holiday decor, but I am very happy with what we have!
I too love that idea with the pines being used to fill the vase!!
AWESOME gingerbread house. Can't wait to see the finished product.
