Hammocks — by Guest Mom Rochelle Greayer
We have a hammock strung between two old oaks in our back yard and it entertains for hours. It is a swing, a place to read, a tunnel-like play house (when the sides are pulled up and over your head) and it can hold all four of us.

I love hammocks and in my work often look for opportunities to create a perfect place to hang one. It always seems better to me to have one strung between trees or some other natural structure than to be forced to make do with one that requires it’s own frame, but I suppose those have their advantages too.
I recently saw this clever design that I can only hope will someday be my perfect answer for a client with a modernist aesthetic, and a love of outdoor bathing.

Hammocks are amazing. There is nothing better than having a snooze in one on a quiet and breezy afternoon! I'm really looking forward to your posts.
If only we all had big old oaks in our yard!
