Children's Clothing report — Part One

Back on October 16th (was it really over two weeks ago?), I attended the Children's Club show at the Javits Center. This was my first year attending. The Children's Club Show is an annual event where children's clothing designers and manufacturers and wholesalers sell their wares to shops and e-boutiques and department stores. It's basically like the Gift Show — but featuring children's clothing instead of gifts.

I loved it. It was a fantastic show. And I've been meaning to report since I attended. My favorite part was meeting in person vendors that I had exchanged emails with over the past year. And it was fantastic to see a preview of what's new in children's clothing. Plus, seeing the amazing displays is always inspiring. A small sampling of my favorites (I'll share more in a second post next week):

1) Zebi Baby
I love their loved bibs and bloomers. Especially their kerchief bibs, which would be so cute for a drool-y baby, when you don't want them in a plastic bib all day long. Plus their packaging is terrific. You can find a list of companies that carry Zebi Baby here.

2) Kate Quinn Organics
Lots of beautiful new things in this line we all know and love. The little pintuck dress is so sweet. And the detailing on the sweater knits is yummy.

3) Zutano
Their booth was so lively and colorful. And their knit line is so cozy. I'm a big Zutano fan. I especially liked their pig print and their monkey scarves. And if you haven't checked out their toddler line — a departure from their well-known knits — take a look. It's very well done.

4) Kiddo
A company with no website, called Kiddo had this dress on display. It's so pretty. I had to take picture. I want one for me.

The hangers are truly darling, Marla. I was under the impression that Zebi Baby made them for their booth. I would definitely contact them for more information
