The Perfect Hideout — by Guest Mom Rachel Jones
I have mixed feelings about the movie, 'The Holiday' as a whole, but, this scene with the girly tent, and cute british accents was just beautiful. I want to create a fun place similar to this for my wee one to play in. Here are a few tents and playhouses that I found for a various ages, and budgets. Along with these product ideas, one can always create a little play paradise of their own, using their creativity and craft skills.
These two are from Chasing Fireflies.

o.k...I need a girl.
my mom made a teepee for us when i was a kid. it isn't very girly, but it served its purpose. just long long wooden dowels, and then just get some canvas type fabric and make it to your specifications. i bet there is a pattern out there somewhere for something like that.
Oh!! I love all these! My kids love "forts" and anything else we can make out of blankets & cushions. Such great ideas :)
This is a fun post, Rachel. I too loved the little tent in that movie.
i loved that movie. although cameron, not her best acting.
that was such a magical part of the movie that enchanted me, too.
I'll have to do this for my kids. They'd love it.
We have that play tent from Craftbury kids, and my kids play in it ALL the time.
yum!
I also loved the tent in that movie. I have made a Teepee for my children years ago. Now I am thinking of making one again for the young bunch at our house. Thanks for the wonderful post on it. I also am still not sure I like the movie.
