Ask Design Mom: School Supply Labels

Ask-Design-Mom-Question:
My daughter is starting kindergarten this fall, and I am looking for a cool way to label her backpack, jacket, etc. I was thinking of maybe having some fabric tags/labels printed that I could iron or stick on. Do you have any good sources or any other great ideas?
Thanks! Lindsey Rutter

Answer:
So fun, Lindsey — kindergarten preparations are the best! I have a great suggestion for labels. I recently received an email from Mabel's Labels and their product looks terrific. From what I hear, they withstand the dishwasher, microwave, laundry and hard-wearing children.
They also offer durable labels just for shoes and clothes. You can get a combo pack of their labels here.

I am a HUGE fan of Mabel's Labels. I ordered some after seeing them featured on another blog. They are really cute AND durable! You have lots of personalization options so you can choose labels that really fit your family. I use them on everything, and they withstand the dishwasher very well. The shipping was fast too.

Gabrielle, thanks for helping to spread the word! I'm a Mabel's Labels direct sales agent and it warms my heart to know that people love them as much as Huckaby Fam! (And it makes it easier to sell them too!)

Good luck with the start of kindergarten Lindsey!

Another great site for colorful and cool kids labels is www.stuckonyou.biz
It's originally based out of Austrailia. The labels are bright, cheerful, and withstand the microwave, dishwasher, and toddlers:)

My kids are older now but one was a camp counselor this summer and he used Mabel's Tag-Mates to label his clothes. They actually came home with him. A first! :-) Cool Mom Picks (which is linked here, I see) is offering a special deal on Mabel's back-to-school combo pack until the end of August. Take a look!
