Janet Beck Clark
My good friend and former Guest Mom, Emily Spencer, just created an etsy site for her mom, Janet Beck Clark. Her mother creates beautiful and unique works of art from pressed botanicals. I love Janet's work. I still haven't seen a photograph that does her pieces justice. Her compositions are just beautiful.
Things I especially love about her pressed botanicals:
1) On each piece there are handwritten notations with each plant's common name along with the Latin, or scientific name. Also noted is a general location where the plant is found.
2) Each piece is beautifully matted and framed — acid-free mats, solid wood frames, museum quality, of course.
3) Descriptions accompany each piece and include plant identification, interesting facts, history and lore.
I also think it's great that Janet, a grandmother of many, is embracing Etsy. Go Janet!

These are so beautiful! Just my kind of art! Thank you for sharing this!
I couldn't get the links to work so if anyone else has this problem, the web address is
www.janetbeckclark.etsy.com
Thanks Gabby!
My bad Emily. The links should work now.
Very pretty! Thanks for sharing.
Janet Clark is an amazing artist. And its true, no photos I have seen (or taken) can do her works of art the justice they deserve.
