Bizarro — by Guest Mom Hailey Meyer Liechty

Although a news junky, I subscribe to the paper just for the funnies. Comics are great to help children read and to develop a sense of humor (which seems very rare these days). Plus, they are good for conversation starters and great art!
My favorite? Bizarro. I contacted the artist, Dan Pirraro, and he gave me permission to use this one while I'm a Guest Mom here. I think it is perfect for the Design Mom blog.

I am currently waging this very battle! stay safe? or be bold?

I agree- it's fun to get kids exposed to different types of artists and artistic styles so when they finally get a chance to explore the creative side of themselves they will have lots of unique ideas to draw from.
I can't wait to take my son to a comic book store when he is old enough and let him pick one out.
e!
I love you! :)
