Welcome Sara!!
Get ready for another great Guest Mom this week. Not that long ago, Sara Stratford moved to my part of the world, and she's so lovely that I'm constantly looking for ways to insinuate myself into her super-cool life: Sara, will you share your amazing house with my blog readers? Sara, can your talented husband take a photo for me? Sara, will you be a Guest Mom two weeks before your due date? And wonderful Sara, who doesn't seem capable of getting stressed out, kindly obliges.
Sara is an excellent writer — as I'm sure we'll all witness this week — and you can read some of her personal narratives (along with some of her siblings' personal narratives) at Lewis Girls Blog. Welcome Sara!!
But first, get to know Sara a bit better in her own words:
This is not a recent picture of me... this is what I looked like roughly 8.5 months ago. Within seconds of conception, my body begins hoarding water and fat like crazy. But it better represents who I think I am... even though this
is actually my reality right now.
I have two kids, a 7 year old girl and a 4 year old boy, who I had the pleasure of raising in Brooklyn, New York until our recent move (exactly one year ago) to a suburb in Westchester County. While I love New York City, I’m not one of those moms who will gush about how great it is raising kids in the city. It’s not. My husband, Travis, owns a graphic design firm in SoHo. In a former life I taught middle school English, and would someday like to earn money writing. For now, my creative outlets are blogging, digital scrapbooking, and an interest in photography. I’m more of a baker than a cook, but am trying to learn to make food other than cupcakes and sugar cookies. I love to run, snowboard, swim, play tennis, volleyball and basketball, and do pretty much any outdoor activity (except for gardening). If Billy Blanks had a Tae Bo studio in Westchester, I’d probably be President of it. I managed to do Tae Bo 5 days a week while pregnant with baby #2, and am close to being able to make that same claim with baby #3.
A couple other things I really enjoy are watching good movies and TV shows, reading, and shopping. I love designer clothes but usually end up buying most of my wardrobe from Target, the greatest store on earth. My kids and husband are the things I most adore, when they’re not driving me crazy.

Sara, loved reading all about you. Wait, I'm your mom and I all ready know all of it. I just got back from a week staying with Sara while her husband was in Brazil for a week (my husband and I couldn't believe she would be alone with two kids, two weeks before her due date). So I flew out from Colorado, but will be back to help when the baby comes. She honestly does Tai Bo every day or sometimes the treadmill. BTW Sara, you rear children and raise livestock, animals etc.
