God Bless America

So I'm back from Spring Break and feeling great. I read lots. Watched lots of TV. Found some excellent new-to-me blogs. But I'm super happy to be back. Because blogging is my addiction.
So let's get to some new posts:

I love this picture of America Ferrera. I confess I've been half hoping Ugly Betty would tank. And quickly. Because a few months before the show Ugly Betty came to be, our lovely baby came to be and was named Betty. And if the show has a long life, like an ER long-life or a Friends long-life, my Betty will be old enough to receive and understand the Ugly Betty teasing that will inevitably come her way.

But while my Betty is too young to care, I love that America Ferrera is making it big. And I love that she gets to be glam in this shot on the cover of W. And I wish that every woman had a chance to be glam on the cover of a fashion magazine. And I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony.

Ugly Betty is hilarious and I laugh out loud every episode. But it probably won't last so don't worry!

I love this show. My parents were addicts to the original ugly betty. and I thought it was ridiculous. The Hollywood version is much more funny. I also loved America in Real Women Have Curves.

i have always thought it would be super fun to do a big glamorous W/Vogue style photoshoot just once. it would be fun to have a few photos of yourself that were drop dead hot to remind you that there is a super hottie in there somewhere.

I wish I had time to watch the show! This Mexican girl who grew up watching blonde after blonde star on TV is THRILLED to see a fellow Latina on the small screen.

Aw, well you have to keep in mind that the title is fairly ironic. Inside, she's the most beautiful of anyone in the cast. (And it's a great show.) May your Betty have all the success of America and more.
