Book of the Week: The Fantastic Mr. Wani
I first came upon The Fantastic Mr. Wani on an exploratory trip to the bookstore. I was looking for a gift and didn't have a particular book in mind. The cover of Mr. Wani caught my eye so I read it then and there and loved it immediately. It has become one of my favorite books to give.
The basic story: Mr. Wani is running late, trying to get to a party. He has lots of stumbles and lots of help along the way — including having balloons tied to his snout. The story is told in a very exciting way — perfect for 3 & 4 years olds. And adults will be drawn to the color scheme and illustrations. Both are fantastic. Hats off to Kanako Usui.
You can find Mr. Wani here.
