A darling friend recently brought me a jar of Meyer Lemon Vacuum BBs from Restoration Hardware. You add a handful directly to your vacuum bag. Or, more fun for the kids, you spread a handful of BBs around the carpet and vacuum them up. They turn your vacuum into a "scent-spreading diffuser."

Available in several scents, but it's hard to beat Meyer Lemon.
