StazOn Stamp Ink

Has anyone tried this StazOn ink? I was just reading about it and wonder how well it works. Apparently it functions as a standard stamp pad, but the ink adheres to pretty much any surface: metal, plastic, glass, ceramic, clay, wood, leather, etc. It comes in 20+ colors.

Maude's birthday is coming up. She's all into decorating and decoupaging little boxes and frames and I'm thinking this might be a good time to start a rubber stamp collection for her — especially if she can use the stamps on surfaces beyond paper.

StazOn is great! I use it for scrapbooking and other paper crafting projects. From acrylic and transparencies to all types of paper, it's FABULOUS!

I really like these stamp pads for most things, however on ceramic tiles the ink does come off if they get wet. I made some Christmas coasters that turned out to be more like Chrismear coasters.

StazOn is definitely a good purchase. You'll want to make sure you get some stamp cleaner if you want to keep your stamps looking okay, though. I use these stamp pads for most of my regular paper stamping because the color is so rich (especially the black) compared to a regular classic stamp pad.

I used it on small 2X2 tumbled tiles to make magnets and also on travertine tiles to make coasters and you don't need to seal it. If you use it on the ceramic tiles (like kristin) you'd need to seal it before getting it wet.

They also have this great almond-like scent that you'll either love or hate. I love it.

I love it. But like others said, be careful cause it stains. It is good on pretty much every surface though.

I absolutely love using it. I am a big scrapbooker as well and use it on almost everything. The colors are really deep and striking. A little bonus that they smell like amaretto extract!

Design Mom,
I am a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and would love to help you in any way with your stamping questions. Yes, Stazon is a good ink. I personally have only used it once, but have heard lots of good things about it.
BTW, I'm Laura Buchanan's Aunt (in Texas) and ocassionally spot by. I'm very impressed with your blog as well as your very organized life.
www.stampinup.com will let you browse the catalog, etc. Let me know if you'd like to order

I'm a SU demonstrator, too but I've found you can get the best colors of Stazon at local craft stores. Stampin Up only carries a few. Plus, you can wait for 50% off ink pad sales.

If you do use the Staz-on on ceramic (like Kristen's comment for Christmas coaster's) you can set the ink by baking the coasters in a 200 degree oven for 15 minutes.
