Christmas Clothes 2009

Don't you love seeing your kids all dolled up for Christmas?

The girls dresses each had fun stuff at the hem or lining. So festive. The gorgeous pillow covers are by One Thread Fair Trade, available at Cambria Cove.

Hi Gabby- I have a couch almost the same color as the one in these photos. Searching for pillows for it, where did you find yours? Thanks!

I have to ask. Do you go searching for clothes until you find things that both your kids AND you like? Are they easy going about what they wear?

They always look amazingly dressed well, and look good side by side for these special occasions.

I have 4 kids (soon to be 5) and i just think it would be such an amazingly difficult task to find things that looked good when you put all of them together, and that they all agreed that they liked themselves too!

However you do it, i want to know your secret!

They look gorgeous! I just went through the whole scramble for matching outfits (we ended up with similar colors) for my husband's PhD graduation and celebratory dinner. Oh, and I followed your directions for the floral headband -- thanks for that! My daughter loved it (although the headband was pretty heavy and kept slipping toward her forehead :-))

Lindsey, the pillow covers are from Cambria Cove. I'll edit the post with a link.

Kimberly, yes, it can take some effort to put together a group of outfits. Some years it seems to take a long time, this year it was really fast — an afternoon of errands after an evaluation of what we already had. As my kids get older, I do involve them in the decisions because they have opinions about what they wear. But. They also like the idea of coordinating for Christmas, so they don't fight me on it.

while i'm having a bit of trouble finding something for my son, i found inspiration for my daughter on etsy. and then sent the idea to my mom, bought the fabric and she made it.

here is the shop:

i love their dresses. they just need to be a bit more "twirly" to make my daughter completely happy. :)

Gabs...they all look so cute and I'm loving the backdrop as well; I'm with Lindsey, I like those pillows! My favorite dress has to be Maudes, it's stunning! Oscar looks just like Ben!

So cute. What do you do to get them to look like they love eachother? Bribes? Blackmail? Tylenol? I'm baffled.

Love the outfits! Christmas night and New Year's Eve are the only times I can get away with putting my daughter in tights - they are festive occasions and maybe it will drop to the mid 70's at night. :)

Oh my! I love these shots. Such great, coordinated outfits. I especially adore the boys outfits.

I have to admit that we rarely do the "dress-up" thing for Christmas, but you may have just convinced me to change my mind about that... ;)
