Book of the Week — All In A Day
The newest picture book at our house is Cynthia Rylant's All in a Day. With illustrations by Nikki McClure.
I know you're not supposed to judge a book by its cover, but sometimes I can't help it. Based on the pretty cover (observe the gorgeous title lettering) and my knowledge of Ms. Rylant's previous work, I knew my kids would love this. And they do.

As an English teacher, I love Cynthia Rylant. As a 1990s riot-grrrl in HS/college, I love Nikki McClure. How cool to see that they have paired up!!
I've got a baby book with illustrations by Nikki McClure--and I love it! I might need to add this book to our collection.
My 14m daughter has Nikki McClure's Awake to Nap book and she loves it! I think we may add this to our collection.
