Pre-fab is an awesome way to build. now they are starting to look cool. I hope the trend continues.
I love the pre-fab homes! This is reminding me of two things: a long, long time ago, Sunset mag ran an article about a really cool pre-fab designer on the west coast (Michelle Kaufman?) that first turned me on to pre-fab houses. Then there was a piece in Domino (R.I.P.) featuring an awesome kit house that could be used as a getaway/retreat. It is a very eco-friendly way to build - thanks for showing us these examples!
Oh I love pre-fab. My husband and I have been researching them for a few years now. My favorite- Res. 4 (modern modular) and Living Homes. Michelle Kaufmann is great too. My only beef is that they all say they are affordable for the average person. And I think do these architects think the average person can afford a 750,000$ home?
