Happy Valentines Day!
My kids are out of school today. And all next week as well. A nice mid-winter break. We will be baking heart-shaped cutout cookies this afternoon. And planning for our annual Valentine Breakfast tomorrow. And I have a cute gift for each of the kids from the ladies at You Can Make This — pics on Monday or Tuesday.
This morning, I was one of the super lucky attendees of the Red Dress Collection Show that kicked off Fashion Week here in New York. I'm working on my report. I'll just say here that it was delightful. And all about red and hearts. So very Valentine's Day Weekend appropriate.
Speaking of which, I hope your Valentine's Day is lovely. And that you give sweet things or kisses or kind words to everyone you love. My Valentine gift to you?: the Peek/Business Card Giveaway is open through Sunday night. Five winners!

I respectfully disagree that the Red Dress Collection is Valentine's appropriate.
It makes me cranky that a romantic holiday is high-jacked, in a sense, for a disease. I don't want to associate Valentine's Day and the color red with heart disease.
And Valentine's is for everyone. The Red Dress Collection is all about women's hearts like men's hearts don't matter.
Sure, it's a worthy charity, etc., but they could do their red schtick at any time of year and be just as effective. No need to piggy back on Valentines Day. JMHO, of course.
Just thought I'd "de-lurk" & say hi. I recently subscribed to your blog & love your ideas. I posted links to the MadLib & bookmark valentines on my blog...such creative ideas. I had already bought pencils, but we'll do something more creative next year. Thanks for sharing & being a great resource.
I can't wait to hear about your day!
Steph
Thanks for posting pics of my letterpress valentines! What a nice surprise to see "myself" when visiting one of my favorite blogs!
Great Blog. I'm kinda new to reading blogs, but have found yours delightful.

those perforated valentine cards are awesome.
I at Red anywhere any time is a good thing, but then I am, a redhead. I enjoy Valentines Day more through the eyes of kids. It should all be about handmade or super hero folded Valentines and a bag of candy from those that like you and don't... and your parents get to raid your stash.
What a fun and interesting blog. I love your creativity here and look forward to returning for more inspiration! Keep it flowing!
Those cards are really beautiful! And yes, my V-Day was a lovely one. I hope yours went just as well.
Hi
You have a delightful blog with so many exciting ideas. Being with and "working" with your kids is a great way to teach them how to be good parents. I know this may sound a long way off but it's amazing at how fast time passes.
My name is Bev and I am a Grandmother waiting to become a GG (great grandmother) in a couple of years. My grandson is getting married in June and they both want to have children (lucky me). I dropped in to tell you about Wool E. Woola, a picture book about a sweet BIG dog, that I wrote and illustrated. A friend put up the money and we set up a publishing company, just the 2 of us. Please check it out at www.moonbowpress.com If you like the book or the site, please tell your friends.
Thank you
Bev
