Mothers Day 2008 Giveaway Recap
The Mothers Day 2008 Giveaway Week is officially closed. I'll announce the final winners — and put winners in touch with sponsors — this evening.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Mothers Day Giveaway week — the clever commenters! (Over the course of the week there were 13,155(!) Giveaway comments) The generous sponsors! The beautiful products! I hope everyone felt as celebratory as I did about the whole thing.
In other news: I have a million blog posts I want to write. Betty turned 2 on Friday (can we still call her Baby Betty?) with celebrations happening on Sunday. Then there was Mothers Day — I slept in till 9:30 in the morning — the best gift ever. Plus there were Giveaways to attend to. And a little tiny thing called a major website relaunch for the newly named kirtsy (more on that in the next post).
I can't wait to report with a little more detail about the lovely gift from Ben (it rhymes with muperhero mecklace). And about a super cool dinner I went to at the James Beard House last Wednesday. I plan to fill you in on everything just as soon as I've wrapped up the Giveaway loose ends tonight.
In the meantime, Happy Monday!

Yes! Please do keep calling her Baby Betty...at least until she's 3. : )
You guys are great and HAPPY BIRTHDAY Baby Betty!
Hope you had a lovely Mother's Day! :)
Thank you Gabrielle for all of your hard work with the Mom's Day giveaways, even the 'hope' of winning is fun.
Glad to hear you slept in late (9:30!) on your special day and you scored a very cool something too. :)
Here's to all of our 'forever' babies..
So glad you had a good mothers day after all of the work you did for other mothers last week. Although I have of yet to win any of your give aways (damn those thousand other people that post comments!), they always give me ideas for gifts and have introduced me to some great companies. You really do an excellent job on this blog.
She'll always be Baby Betty!!
My youngest is 26 and I still refer to him as my baby. In 1997 we had just moved to a new house and he injured himself while I was shopping. A neighbor phoned me and said my son had been seriously hurt. "Which one" I asked. She didn't know so I asked, "Is it my baby?" When I arrived home the police were scouring the house looking for the baby while in the front yard, the medics tended to my son. (aka my baby)
where are the winners???
